A SERIOUS assault took place in broad daylight on a Rugby street yesterday afternoon (Sunday September 27).
Police were called to Bridget Street when the assault occurred at around 4.30pm.
It is believed that the suspect is known to the victim, and police are currently treating it as an isolated incident.
There are concerns for the wellbeing of the victim, who left the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to contact 101 quoting incident 255 of September 27.
