Rugby retail park has Wickes' name on it

Rugby Editorial 16th Oct, 2015 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016

A DIY store will complete a move from Elliott’s Field Retail Park to its new home at Technology Park next weekend.

Wickes will celebrate the launch of its new Rugby store with a weekend of festivities, kicking off on Friday October 23.

Customers will get 15 per cent off everything all weekend, while those who visit on Saturday October 24 between 12-4pm will have the chance to meet and have their photo taken with the famous Dulux dog.

The new Technology Drive store will feature a new kitchen and bathroom design centre, and Dulux’s new in-store colour mixing service.

Darren Hawksworth, Store Manager at Wickes Rugby, said: “We’ve designed the store to make it easier to shop – the layout will help guide you to everything that you need.

“We’re confident that the new store will provide everyone with the tools, materials and advice they need to complete their project, from those embarking on their first DIY project right through to experienced tradesmen.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors through our doors next weekend and hope that local residents will come and join us for the celebration.”

Darren will also be working with SCA Timber to teach children in the community how to plant trees and the importance of sustainable wood.

He will be attending the gardening club at St. Andrew’s Benn C of E Primary School on Tuesday October 21, planting six saplings in the school grounds.
