Rugby Rotarians to pedal for fight against prostate cancer

Rugby Editorial 16th Jun, 2018   0

ROTARIANS in Rugby are joining a national cycling event to raise money in the fight against prostate cancer during Father’s Day weekend.

The Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast is teaming up with Anytime Fitness and Rugby Central to run a static bike from 10am to 3pm in the shopping centre on Saturday (June 16).

It will be the third year running the club has supported the UK-wide Rotary Ride event.

Organiser Ken Ure said: “Over 11,000 men die of prostate cancer every year, which equates to one man every 45 minutes, and there are over 330,000 men living with and after prostate cancer.

“More money is needed for research and to raise awareness, so please drop by and make a donation.”

Visit www.justgiving.com/teams/RotaryRide to donate, or email [email protected] to organise a sponsored static bike ride.
