SCHOOLCHILDREN are spreading Easter cheer to lonely elderly people.
Before their school closed, pupils from The Revel C of E Primary School in Monks Kirby worked hard to make sure the elderly in the community had a handmade Easter card this year.
The children made the cards for clients of Home Instead Senior Care Rugby, an at-home care company which provides care for clients in their own homes.
The company’s owner Sarah Slater said: “Being isolated is difficult, but for the elderly who live alone this can be a very lonely time.
“We know these beautiful handmade Easter cards will certainly raise a smile and we would like to thank the school for taking the time to create such wonderful cards.
“I would like to applaud the many initiatives being embraced by local communities to support our older population while we self-isolate and socially distance ourselves, including the excellent work of The Revel C of E Primary School.”
