THE SNOWMAN and The Snowdog are guiding visitors to Rugby town centre along a festive toy brick trail over the Christmas period.
The interactive trail presented and built by Bricklive – and inspired by animated film The Snowman and The Snowdog, the sequel to Raymond Briggs’ classic picture book The Snowman – features 16 toy brick models of characters from the film, including four large-scale models perfect for photo opportunities, and 12 smaller models.
Participants can pick up a trail map from Rugby Art Gallery and Museum to help them find all 16 models across the town centre, answer questions inspired by each model, and return their answers to Rugby Visitor Centre for the chance to win one of a range of trail-inspired prizes.
Rugby Borough Council’s growth and investment spokeswoman Coun Jill Simpson-Vince said: “The Snowman and The Snowdog Bricklive trail promises to bring a little Christmas magic to the town centre and provides a perfect companion for Rugby Art Gallery and Museum’s Brick by Brick exhibition, which features a wide range of art created from Lego.
“The trail forms part of our winter programme of events funded by the Government’s Welcome Back Fund, which aims to support the town centre’s economic recovery from the pandemic, and we still have a few more surprises to come in the run-up to Christmas.”
The Welcome Back Fund has distributed money from the European Regional Development Fund.
The Snowman and The Snowdog Bricklive trail runs until January 3.
