Star choreographer visit wows young Rugby dancers

FLEET-footed youngsters got the chance to work with a top international choreographer in a special dance workshop.

Budding dancers from Jaide’s Stage Studios attended the one-off workshop with choreographer Ryan Jenkins.

Ryan has worked in both the UK and the United States as a leading choreographer and even featured in the TV programme Dance Moms.

Selected students from the dance academy in Rugby had an opportunity to work to with Ryan, practicing a mix of routines.




Jaide Ellery-Martin, Principal of Jaide’s Stage Studios said: “It was an absolutely amazing experience for my students, who thoroughly enjoyed it. He certainly put them through their paces delivering a fantastic workshop learning contemporary and lyrical routines.

“They all danced absolutely brilliantly and I am so proud the way they represented our school. Well done girls, from a very proud teacher.”


Ryan has taught at more than 200 academies internationally and teaches regularly in the UK. He also actively gives his time to create works or teach for many charities including Music theatre for Youth, Autism got Talent with Pineapple Performing Arts, The Prince’s Trust, Cancer research and many local fundraisers.
