Stoneleigh business hub to expand

A BOOMING hub for small businesses in Warwickshire is being expanded for a second time in four years.

The Rural Innovation Centre at Stoneleigh Park is being adapted from a two-storey building into a multi-office and is set to be completed early next month.

The site originally hosted 16 offices and the transformation will see the number more than doubled to 45.

The centre which has a focus on rural science, innovation and business, is part of the Warwickshire Rural Growth Network which aims to boost employment in rural areas.

It has served as a launch pad for around 70 small and start-up businesses from a wide variety of sectors.

The centre provides fully-furnished offices with access to ultra-fast broadband as well as reception, meeting and conference facilities.

iVentiv, which organises international learning and development conferences, moved into the centre in 2014 and will be relocating to the new building to accommodate its growing team.

CEO of iVentiv Russell Butler said: “Since being at the Rural Innovation Centre, our team has gone from three to seven due to sustained growth and increasing demand for our events around the world, and we are currently recruiting to take that figure to 10.

“The location, environment and facilities work really well for us and we’re delighted to be able to continue to grow our business here with the creation of larger offices.”

The project is led by Warwickshire County Council on behalf of the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
