STUDENT leaders at Avon Valley School served up cakes and sweet treats to their classmates and teachers to raise money for charity as part of the world’s biggest coffee morning.
To support the students in their charity venture, the school received a bumper donation of sweet treats from the local Tesco superstore.
With more goodies provided by some of the school’s student bakers, the student-led cake sale raised well over £100 for cancer support charity Macmillan.
Headteacher Alison Davies said: “It was brilliant to see our student leaders working together to raise money for charity.
“We are very grateful to the local Tesco store for their very generous donation, the cakes and biscuits they provided were very much enjoyed by our students and the money raise will help to support people living with cancer.”
