Suspected burglars charged

SUSPECTED burglars accused of breaking into a house in Rugby have been charged.

Intruders reportedly broke into a house in Charles Street in the early hours of Tuesday November 15.

Terry Hannifin and Sean Ryan were arrested a short distance away and both were subsequently charged with aggravated burglary.

Hannifin, 33, of Houston Road, also stands accused of other offences committed in Rugby including theft of a bike wheel from Church Street and a car from Clifton Road on November 11, theft of a bike from Leicester Road on November 6, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified.

Ryan, 31, of Skiddaw was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon after officers seized nunchucks following his arrest.

Both men have been remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court on December 15.
