Suspected drink-driver arrested after speeding car hits kerb

A SUSPECTED dangerous driver has been arrested after a speeding car hit a kerb.

Police tried to stop a car after spotting it speeding on the A428 in Rugby in the early hours of Wednesday morning (May 1).

The car failed to stop before colliding with a kerb in Parkfield Road, and the occupant fled on foot.

A 36-year-old man from Rugby was arrested nearby, and has since been charged with failing to stop when directed, dangerous driving and possession of cannabis.




He will appear in court later this month.
