Suspected drug dealer arrested on disused railway line in Rugby

A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been arrested in Great Central Walk, the former railway line turned nature reserve, near Clifton Road on Thursday (April 28).

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply by plain clothed officers on patrol.

Suspected Class A drugs, cash and two phones were seized from the 44-year-old man.

Det Cons Matt Rapkins from Rugby Proactive CID said: “Our targeted drug patrols aim to reduce drug crime and associated offences.”




The suspect has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
