SUSPECTED illegal immigrants were found in a lorry in Brownsover last week.
Nine men – four Iraqis, three Iranians, and two Afghans – were arrested by police on suspicion of entering the UK illegally when police were called to the lorry on Leicester Road (A426) on Thursday December 3.
Two minors were passed into the care of social services, one man has been detained pending removal from the UK and the others have been ordered to report regularly to the Home Office while their cases are progressed.
A Home Office spokesman said: “If someone is found to have no legal right to remain in the UK we will take action to remove them.”
