A SUSPECTED kidnapper has been arrested following an incident in Long Buckby.
A 46-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of assault and kidnap in connection with the incident, which took place in the early hours of Tuesday September 5.
Police were called at just after 4am to reports of an altercation between a man and a woman.
The victim in the incident has been located and has spoken to officers who are ensuring she is safeguarded.
Police arrested the man following extensive enquiries, including discussions with local residents.
Officers investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who was in the Bakers Lane area of Long Buckby at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious.
