Sweet donation helps Children and Family Centres spread Easter goodwill

A CHOCOLATEY donation has helped to make Easter egg-stra special for families in Rugby.

Children and Family Centres in Boughton, Claremont and Long Lawford shared a donation of over 100 Easter eggs and chocolate treats from housebuilder Orbit Homes.

Run by Barnardo’s, each centre provides key support services to children and young people of all ages, as well as their families. The donation meant there was plenty of chocolate for them to share with those who count on their support over Easter.

Debbie Daniel, Project Coordinator at Rugby Children and Family Centres, said: “Much of what we do relies on the support of our community partners, so we’d like to thank Orbit Homes for their donation.

“Easter eggs are a luxury for some families, so this contribution helps to ensure that as many children as possible enjoy that special feeling that Easter can bring.”

Brian Nearney of Orbit Homes added: “We hope these treats went some way to supporting the valuable work that Barnardo’s does, and helped make Easter a little bit more enjoyable for those they support in Rugby.”
