A TEENAGE motorcyclist has died following a collision near Monks Kirby on Tuesday (October 26).
A red Benelli 125cc motorcycle travelling south on the Fosse Way B4455 collided with a silver Peugeot 208 at the junction with Mere Lane/Coalpit Lane at 5.40pm.
The rider, a 19 year old man, was rushed to University Hospital Coventry with life threatening injuries. Nothing could be done to save him and he died later that evening.
The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw either vehicle just beforehand, to contact Warwickshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01926 415415 quoting incident 318 of October 26.
