TERRORISM suspects have been arrested in Rugby.
A man and a teenager were arrested from separate addresses in Rugby this morning (Tuesday September 3) by the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit (WMCTU), on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.
The 16-year-old boy and 62-year-old man are being questioned at a police station in the West Midlands.
West Midlands Police said the arrests were “pre-planned and intelligence-led”.
WMCTU is conducting the investigation with the support of Warwickshire Police.
Neither Warwickshire nor West Midlands Police are releasing any further information at this stage.
