CONMEN posing as police officers faked their way into a Gilmorton home.

Two men approached a home on a street off Ashby Road on Tuesday May 10 and distracted the occupant, getting away with a large amount of money.

Photofit images of the two men have been released by police in an effort to track them down.

One is described as a stocky, white, clean-shaven man, wearing a dark jacket, brown trousers, black baseball cap and off-white gloves.

The other man was described as white, around 5ft 8in tall and around 30 years old. He was wearing distinctive thick, black square framed glasses, a black baseball cap and black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call DC 2151 Dan Williamson on 101.
