THOUGHTFUL pupils at at Rugby primary school have given thanks to the local emergency services for keeping the town safe over the festive period.
Children from Boughton Leigh Junior School’s Parliament visited the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby Fire Station and Rugby Police Station to express their gratitude.
They presented a handmade card and a box of biscuits to each of them, and had the opportunity to talk to staff.
The firefighters showed the children their new fire engine and how all their equipment is used in an emergency situation.
The school’s Events Coordinator Louise Warriner said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to visit and the staff really appreciated their thoughtful gesture.”
