Thrill-seekers invited to take the plunge in aid of hospice charity

THRILL-seekers are being invited to take on an unforgettable challenge this summer by abseiling down Coventry Cathedral in support of The Myton Hospices.

Participants in the annual fund-raising event – which this year takes place on Saturday July 11 – will have the chance to see Coventry from a unique perspective as they descend 90 feet down the iconic cathedral.

Entertainment from an MC and performers will take place throughout the day, stalls will be serving up food, and medals will be given to those who take the plunge.

Natalie Walker, Events and Campaigns Manager at The Myton Hospices, said: “Our Coventry Cathedral Abseil is always a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter and remarkable bravery as people push themselves beyond their comfort zone to support a vital cause.

“By taking part, participants will help ensure that patients and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire can access the specialist hospice care they need and deserve.”

Participants can choose to take on the challenge in either the morning or afternoon. Registration costs £20. Participants must be aged 16 or over on the day of the event.
