THE CLOCK is ticking for a mystery lottery winner in Warwickshire who has just over a month left to claim a £1million prize.
The last-ditch search is still on to find the owner of the winning ticket from the EuroMillions draw on March 31.
Players in the county are being urged to check and double-check their unique EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code for the chance to become an instant millionaire.
The missing ticket was bought in Warwickshire and the winning Millionaire Maker code for this prize was JBQS 10867. The lucky ticket-holder only has until September 27 to claim their prize.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We’re urging everyone to double check their EuroMillions tickets, and have a look in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We are hopeful that this prize will be claimed in time and will have the champagne ready and waiting.
“Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.”
If no-one comes forward before the deadline, the prize money and all the interest it has generated will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
