Town set for 4th Festival of Culture

Rugby Editorial 11th Jun, 2014 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

OUTDOOR theatre, a food fayre, an art trail and a craft fair are just some of the highlights of the fourth Rugby Festival of Culture.

The popular event will take place from Friday, June 27 until Sunday, July 13 at a variety of town centre locations.

A free guide to the festival is now available from Rugby Visitor Centre or the festival website, detailing the music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walking, food and drink events.

Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said: “Each year the festival continues to grow and gain in popularity.

“I’m absolutely delighted with the guide this year. It looks great and is packed full of superb events that will appeal to a wide range of audiences and bring a lot of people into Rugby town centre.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all those groups that have contributed to the programme and to our festival sponsors that include the Clocktowers Shopping Centre, Thornton Robson Estate Agents, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and Bretherton’s Solicitors.

“Based on previous years’ experience, please make sure you book early (where applicable) for events to avoid disappointment as many sell out quickly.”

The guide can also be found on the festival website at rugbyfestivalofculture.co.uk.
