Tree of Light commemorations helping to raise money for Rugby hospice

Rugby Editorial 8th Dec, 2021   0

LOVED ones are being remembered as part of an annual Christmas appeal to raise money for a hospice in Rugby.

The Rotary Club of Rugby’s Tree of Light Appeal, where the Mayor’s Christmas Tree outside St Andrews Church provides a focal point for dedications to deceased friends and family, is raising funds for Rugby Myton Hospice.

A club spokesperson said: “This is the time in the year when we always bring to mind those of our nearest and dearest that are no longer with us but stay in our hearts forever, and when we especially treasure their memory.

“We give thanks for those who so gratefully gave donations a year ago at the height of the Covid pandemic, which was such a difficult time for us all. Your heartening response last year enabled over £5,300 to be raised to help continue the work of the Hospice here in Rugby.

“Your sponsorship and donations matter more than ever this year, so please give generously.”

Sponsor and donation forms can be picked up from Blackhams Opticians in Albert Street. Alternatively, cheques can be sent to Rotary Tree of Light, 2 Bawnmore Court, Rugby, CV22 7QQ. Sponsor forms and donations will be accepted up to Monday December 20.
