Two arrested after hit-and-run crash

A HIT-and-run crash in Rugby resulted in two men being arrested.

A BMW 3 series drove off from officers and subsequently crashed in Clifton Road shortly before midday on Thursday (December 3).

No-one was injured but a number of individuals left the area. A quantity of drugs were found on the road and seized from the vehicle.

Shortly afterwards, officers arrested a 25-year-old man from Birmingham on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, and a second 25-year-old man from Moseley on suspicion of driving dangerously, failing to stop and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.




They have been bailed until the end of the month.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or witnessed the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 126 of December 3.
