Two charged with Rugby town centre stabbing

TWO men have been charged following a Rugby town centre stabbing in the early hours of Saturday (February 21) which left a 20-year-old man with serious abdominal wounds.

Tadas Grigas, 22, from Bridget Street was charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday (February 25).

Elonas Tomas Mikeliunas, 23, also from Bridget Street, was charged with common assault and bailed to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on March 10.

The injured man required hospital treatment following the incident, which occurred at around 4.55am outside the Asda supermarket. He has now been discharged.
