TWO men have been charged after police raided a large scale cannabis factory in Brownsover earlier this year.

Rugby Criminal Investigation officers raided the home on Howkins Road back in February, where they discovered a “large scale” drugs factory with evidence of a recently harvested Cannabis crop.

The officers recovered Cannabis growing equipment as well as dried Skunk type Cannabis with a potential street value of around £3,000. Police also seized £1,500 in cash.

On Monday October 5, the two men, Grzegorz Klocek, 25, and Krzysztof Stanczyk, 33, were sentenced to 27 months imprisonment and fined £120 at Warwick Crown Court.

Warwickshire Police say they continue to be committed to tackling the production, use and supply of illegal drugs and other criminal acts associated with drugs.

Detective Inspector Neal Candelent of Warwickshire Police said: “This was a positive result and sends out a strong message to those growing cannabis for profit, that they will be found and brought to justice. It is our priority to keep Rugby a safe place by removing these drugs from production”.
