PLAYING smart and looking the part – a kids’ football team in Rugby is training in style this season.
Players at Rugby Borough FC Colts Under 12s have new training jackets thanks to a sponsorship deal with housebuilder Bloor Homes.
James Burke, Head Coach at Rugby Borough FC said: “Like all grassroots clubs, we are run by volunteers and rely on sponsorship and donations for kit and equipment.
“It is especially rewarding for the teams when they have new kit, and the new training jackets will make a difference when they come to the club to train or play.”
Jack Costello from Bloor Homes added: “We think they look really smart in their training jackets and hopefully they will make a difference, especially in the winter months.
“We wish the whole team luck for the coming season and will be watching their progress.”
Rugby Borough FC currently has over 80 teams and more than 900 members at varying levels of ability, including a dedicated girl’s section. They play in different development and competitive leagues in and around the county and train at an all-weather facility.
