Wall of Death to take centre stage at Rugby Bikefest

Rugby Editorial 29th Jul, 2021   0

A DEATH-defying stunt will take centre stage at this year’s Rugby Bikefest (RBF).

The Ken Fox Wall of Death will thrill spectators at this year’s event, which takes place on Sunday September 26 in the town centre.

The Fox family has been touring the show since the 1920s with their vintage Indian Scouts bikes. The Wall of Death sees up to three bikers at a time ride around inside a 32ft-wide 16ft-high cylindrical wall, performing stunts and tricks while spectators look down from above.

The attraction was due to appear at last year’s Bikefest, which was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Ryan Webster, operations manager for town centre management company Rugby First, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have the Wall of Death at the Bikefest – a first for Rugby and something I am sure everyone is going to want to see.

“Plans for Bikefest this year are really shaping up with a great music line up, a variety of stalls, funfair, children’s entertainment, bike and car displays.”

Stall holders and bikers can get involved in the RBF by calling 01788 890789, emailing [email protected] or visiting www.rugbyfirst.org.
