A WARM welcome was extended to Ukrainian refugee families at a theatre in Rugby.
Macready Theatre opened its doors to 50 Ukrainian refugee families as part of its ongoing partnership with Community Welcome.
The families enjoyed a performance of The Man Who Wanted to be a Penguin, a play which follows the adventure of an explorer travelling to Antarctica to learn how to speak Penguin.
The Lawrence Sheriff Street venue began its collaboration with Community Welcome last year, and continues to welcome Ukrainian families to its productions.
Theatre Manager Amie Barton-Young said: “We are delighted to once again join hands with Community Welcome to provide a warm welcome to Ukrainian refugee families.
“We believe in using our platform to create positive change and to foster a sense of unity and support for those in need in Rugby.”
