A MAJOR housing development in South West Rugby has launched a new website to keep residents up to date.
Residents can use the online engagement platform to find out the latest information about the 5,000-home Homestead View development.
The platform has been launched by Homes England and a consortium of landowners and developers to allow residents, businesses and stakeholders to access the latest updates on the plans for the development, as well as information on upcoming public consultations and opportunities to share feedback on planning applications.
Homestead View was allocated as part of the Rugby Borough Local Plan to provide around 5,000 homes and 35 hectares of employment land. The development will, subject to planning approval, be built in phases up to 2031 and include green infrastructure, new schools, employment opportunities, community and leisure facilities, green spaces, and highway improvements for the area.
Senior Planning and Enabling Manager Ben Frodsham from Homes England said: “The platform is a space for local residents and those interested in the area to learn about our ambitions and plans for the years to come at Homestead View.
“We will be using it to share key information about our plans for new housing, employment opportunities and community amenities, as well as details of the Homestead View Link Road that will alleviate traffic pressures on Dunchurch and surrounding villages.
“This is a large and varied site, allocated for housing in the Local Plan, and we want to share the positive plans for the area from all landowners involved on our new web platform.”
The platform includes an interactive map showing land ownership across the site – with links to information from different landowners – and information on what the different plans involve. Visitors will also be able to sign up for regular newsletters and access information on recent events and consultations.
