Woman sexually assaulted in late night attack in Rugby

POLICE are hunting a man following a sexual assault in Rugby on Friday night.

A woman in her 20s was assaulted in the Pennington Mews area between 10.30pm and 10.50pm.

The suspect, who was riding a bicycle, is described as being short and speaking with an Eastern European accent. He also had distinctive front teeth, narrow cheeks, and was believed to be wearing dark clothing with a cap and a hood over the top. .

Investigating officer, Det Con Kate Skyrme from Warwickshire Police said: “This is an understandably concerning incident, and the victim is currently being supported by specialist officers.




“Officers are conducting a number of enquiries and would ask anyone who witnessed the offence or any suspicious activity in the area to please call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 191 of 2 May 2020.”
