WANNABE Stan Lees can create their own comic books at a workshop in Rugby.
Local author and illustrator Jessica Hartshorn will discuss different techniques on creating a storyline, developing characters and creating dynamic backgrounds.
At the end of the workshop – which is part of Rugby First and Hunt’s Bookshop’s summer activities and events programme – children will bring together what they learnt in their own comic strip which they can take home.
Jessica said: “The workshop will be a great opportunity for children and young people to develop their drawing skills, develop characters and create stories.
“I love being able to share my experiences and inspire young artists to pursue their passions in art.”
Rugby First Business Director Linda Lowne added: “This will be a really fun workshop and a great way to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.
“As well as this event, we have been working with Hunt’s Bookshop and a host of other popular authors illustrators and entertainers to provide fun activities for all the family this summer.”
Christopher Hunt from Hunt’s Bookshop said: “We are keen to offer a range of workshops and themed book events for children to enjoy.
“The fantastic opportunity to work with talented local authors and illustrators aims to nurture children’s creativity in the world of books.
