Wrestling show to muscle in to Benn Hall in April

WRESTLERS are preparing to muscle their way into the Benn Hall.

Warwickshire-based Legacy Wrestling will transform the venue into a wrestling arena featuring pyrotechnics and music for their first Rugby show on Sunday April 8.

The company has put on family-friendly shows since 2015 featuring wrestlers trained by WWE trainer “Wildcat” Robbie Brookside – the likes of masked fighters White Tiger and Arcade, and grapplers Kyle Kingsley and the Legacy British Champion Jack Starz.

And two of the world’s top women wrestlers will go head-to-head when Jetta takes on Lady Chardonnay to launch the Legacy Women’s Division.

Legacy Wrestling is spearheaded by a pair of businessmen who have over 35 years combined experience in the wrestling world.

Director of talent Mike Connell said: “We have extremely high expectations on how the shows look and feel. The fans will be coming away from the Benn Hall knowing they’ve seen a spectacular show, with the most breathtaking wrestlers on the planet.

“We know that Legacy Wrestling will become the kind of event that everyone in Rugby and beyond will be talking about very quickly, and will be as much a part of regular family outings as the cinema or football matches.”

Senior official Chris Boyle added: “We’re launching with a bang. Plans in the future are even more exciting though. We have lots of surprises coming up for the fans, and we can barely wait to get things going.

“Legacy Wrestling is going to be creating a buzz all around Warwickshire, and we couldn’t be prouder to be basing the events here in our home county.

“I’m here to ensure that everything goes smoothly and to deal with any rule breaking. We’ve got our five golden rules here at Legacy to make certain that any villainous actions by gentlemen such as Scott Grimm, Alton Thorne or 50 stone monster tag team The Henchmen do not go unpunished, and to keep the traditions of British wrestling alive.”
