TALENTED youngsters in Rugby had their efforts rewarded at this year’s Rugby Rotary Youth Competitions.
While the pandemic meant there were no face-to-face competitions this year, students still competed in the usual categories – and they also had the opportunity to express their ‘Lockdown Thoughts’, either with a drawing, prose or poem.
Shreya Hegde won the Rotary Prize for Young Environmentalist, while Alex Jago, Damien Anish, Ali Ghias, Lewis Clarke and Jessica Bryn won Rotary Prizes for Young Writer.
Gracie-Eve Baalham, Blythe Kilburn-Small and Jessica Bryn also won Rotary certificates for lockdown creativity.
Selected and prizewinning examples from these competitions will be on display in Rugby Art Gallery and Museum until Thursday (August 5).
