Beginners 0-5k course for Rugby women

RUGBY & Northampton Athletic Club is urging women looking for a new challenge in 2019 to sign up to its ladies running group, ahead of the latest 0-5k beginners course in February.

The group, which train at the track opposite the Queen’s Jubilee Centre, begin the 16-week course on Saturday, February 2 – which comprises of three sessions a week and 48 in total across four months.

Going into its tenth year of existence, the Ladies Running Group have built a reputation of creating a fun, friendly, supportive environment in which beginners, novices or seasoned runners can help build to achieve their running goals – with full support provided in helping runners reach the 5k mark from completing the course.

In this time, over 1,000 women have completed the beginners course and gone beyond this starting step to reach 10k, half and in some cases, full and ultra marathons.

Sessions take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm and on Saturday mornings at 10.15am – with the 16-week course costing just £30.

The group currently consists of 200 regular members and a variety of abilities and ages, with interested participants urged to visit the website at www.randnac.org in order to sign up to the upcoming course, or to contact ladiesrunninggroup@gmail.com for more information.
