Borough keep up perfect start to take top spot

RUGBY Borough moved to the top of the Everards Brewery Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division after chalking up their ninth win in a row.

A 3-0 success at Kilsby Lane against visitors Cottesmore AFC pushed them ahead of Thurnby Rangers on goal difference, and with three games in hand,.

It was 1-0 at half-time after Tommy Glasscoe netted eight minutes before the break and sub Ashley Piper added a second on 34 minutes. Glasscoe struck the third nine minutes from time.

Borough meet 13th-placed Desford at Kilsby Lane on Saturday.
