A HOME tie against newcomers County Hall will kick off Rugby Borough’s Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division title defence on Saturday (3pm), when the new season gets underway at Kilsby Lane.
Borough were rampant in their debut season at step seven last term, running riot to win the league, but withdrew their application for promotion to a higher tier due to their ground not meeting league standards.
Entry for all home games this season is £3 for adults, and £1 for concessions, with a second home tie against Desford taking place on Monday (7.45pm).
Elsewhere, the club’s ground staff celebrated being named the Grounds Team of the Year at the Birmingham County Grassroots Football Awards, held at the Molineux stadium, recently.
