Craig McKee and Ryan Kenworthy tie in Princethorpe

Rugby Editorial 13th Jun, 2016 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

THERE was a rare dead-heat in Rugby Racing Cycling Club’s ten-mile time trial held at the popular K10/10 Princethorpe with both Craig McKee and Ryan Kenworthy both finishing as joint winners.

The event, held on June 8, attracted a strong field of 52 riders but it was McKee and Kenworthy who came out on top after both riders crossed the finish line in 20 minutes and 42 seconds.

Officially times are rounded to the second, although the timekeeper’s watch revealed that McKee was 0.15 seconds faster but this level of accuracy was beyond reach for Rugby Racing Cycling Club.

The pleasantly warm conditions were met by a shower at the start of the race which perhaps has an effect on the riders with Eliot Blundell taking second spot in 21.38 and Dave Elliott was third four second behind.
