BOURTON and Frankton CC began their 2022 season with a 49-run success away at Dunton Bassett.
The visitors batted first and posted posted 188-5 off 30 overs.
Dale Coles and George Smith shared a fruitful second wicket partnership which saw them retire not out on 53 and 52 respectively.
Mick Waller then added a further 30 not out with Matt McQuillan chipping in with 20.
In reply, Dunton Bassett reached 139-6 off their allotted overs.
Opener Osborne retired on 57 in the face of Bourton’s bowling which saw Rich Parsons return figures of 3-19.
Middle order contributions of 19 bolstered the home side’s effort but they were kept at bay with a wicket apiece for Coles, McQuillan and Waller seeing out Bourton’s success.
