ROB O’Connor claimed a sixth win from seven events to lift the Stallard Series trophy.

The Rugby cyclist took the winner’s jersey and is now the number one ranked rider in the United Kingdom in the 65-plus age category.

Cheltenham and County Cycling Club organised the final race of the 2025 Stallard Series which took place over a 45-mile distance.

The Stallard Series is the most prestigious series of road and circuit races on the British Masters Cycle Racing calendar.

O’Connor had already secured the overall series title prior to the start of the final race.

The Rugby rider and national time trial champion Eamonn Deane attacked several times but could not breakaway from the main group

O’Connor covered a few solo attacks from other riders in the last few miles.

And he positioned himself at the front of the queue for the final one-and-a-half kilometre climb.

He opened up a sprint with 200m left to race. And he timed his push to perfection to secure a sixth win from seven races to end the series in style.
