ROB O’Connor came out on top in his age category at the 27th edition of the Tour of The Abberleys.
O’Connor is a previous two-time winner of the race which takes place over three days and four stages.
The race began with a three-mile time trial as O’Connor placed second overall and first in the 65-plus category.
Following this, O’Connor rode in a 40-mile road race which he won outright in an uphill bunch sprint with race leader Roy Chamberlain.
O’Connor started the 45-mile road race wearing the king of the mountains leaders jersey.
The race split with five miles to go as the leader broke away leaving O’Connor isolated at the back of the bunch.
O’Connor eventually managed to cross the line in third place to remain second overall as he lost the king of the mountains jersey.
The final 30-mile stage saw O’Connor and race leader Chamberlain move away from the bunch.
Chamberlain hung on to take the stage and overall win while O’Connor held off an attack from third-place rider John Watson to finish second in the stage and second overall.
This proved enough to secure O’Connor first place in the 65-plus category.
