BOURTON and Frankton begin their 2023/24 season this weekend hoping to build on last term’s push for promotion which ultimately fell short.
The club embark on their latest Coventry Alliance League campaign in Division Three once again having been well in contention for a top-two slot for the majority of last season only to be thwarted in the final weeks of the season.
After another productive pre-season, Bourton begin the new season with a visit to Coventry Colliery Reserves before hosting their first home game a week later when Shilton Reserves are the visitors to The Field.
Both matches kick-off at 2.15pm with the season opener to take place on Saturday, September 2.
Bourton and Frankton will also be fielding a youth team again this season with last year’s under-14’s looking to go one better in their quest for honours and promotion.
The now under-15 team will be playing on Sunday’s in Division D of the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League (CWYFL) of their age-group division.
They begin their campaign on Sunday, September 10 with a home fixture against Poppys FC before two away games to end the month.
The first is a trip to at Meriden Lions seven days later ahead of their first local derby meeting with Hillmorton on Sunday, September 24.
In what promises to be a busy year for Bourton and Frankton, the club will also field a Sunday side running under its banner.
The Sunday XI will be playing in Division 1B of the Tracey Thomas Leamington and District Sunday Football League, with their first fixture on Sunday, September 3 at home to Long Itchington.
Bourton and Frankton FC are always keen to welcome new players to both their adult/senior side and their youth team.
