BOURTON and Frankton were unable to bounce back from their cup exit as the Rugby-based club were beaten 4-2 by GNP Sports.
Taking on the Coventry Alliance League Division Three’s only remaining unbeaten side, Bourton made a bright start and dominated from the off.
However, GNP Sports struck twice in quick succession against the run of play to take control before Daniel McManus reduced the deficit from the penalty spot after Abdul Rahim Razak was fouled in the box.
And the home side restored their two-goal lead soon after only for Bourton to score again before the interval when McManus calmly converted his second spot kick after Razak was fouled in the area for a second time.
Bourton were punished for not converting their chances in the second period as GNP grabbed their fourth goal to put the game to bed.
And in the Under-14 Division D of the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth League, Bourton and Frankton suffered a 4-2 defeat against Coventrians.
The sides went into the break level at one-apiece, after an evenly contested first period, with Freddie Young on target for Bourton for the second week running.
However, the hosts improved after the break to score three times with Caide Israel netting for Bourton.
