CLIFFORD Awuah scored a hat-trick as Bourton and Frankton romped to an impressive 6-2 win against previously unbeaten Dunlop Reserves.

Awuah’s hat-trick and further goals from Daniel McManus, Kyle Young and Michael Lunn inflicted a first defeat of the season on Dunlop at The Field.

The result means Bourton sit sixth in the Coventry Alliance Division Three table.

Bourton are next in action against Coventry Phoenix on Saturday, December 7 with kick-off at 2.15pm at The Field.

Elsewhere, George Quick netted a treble as Bourton’s under-16 side claimed a thrilling 4-3 victory against Khalsa.

Quick’s first-half brace put Bourton in command before Khalsa reduced the deficit early in the second half.

However, Bourton restored their two-goal lead courtesy of Elliot McGlinchey’s long range effort.

Quick completed his hat-trick soon after before Khalsa responded to cut the deficit and struck again late on as Bourton held on to win the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League fixture.

The under-16s travel to Meriden Lions on Sunday, December 8 with kick-off at 1.30pm.
