BOURTON and Frankton’s first team saw their weekend fixture away at Triumph Athletic postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The club’s under-15 side suffered a 4-3 defeat against Bedworth United Juniors in the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League.
Bourton’s youngsters looked on course for victory after racing into a three-goal lead at the break.
Goals from Thomas Constable and Freddie Young in quick succession and Elliot McGlinchey’s strike just past the half hour mark put Bourton into a commanding lead.
However, Bedworth pulled a goal back at the start of the second period before scoring three more goals without reply to complete a remarkable turnaround.
Elsewhere, Bourton’s Sunday team lost 3-2 at Bishops Itchington in the Leamington and District Sunday Football League Division One Cup.
Bishops took a three-nil lead before Callum Carsley reduced the deficit in the second half and Bourton struck again to set up a nervy finish, just falling short in the final 15 minutes.
Bourton’s first team return to action at home against St John Fisher Coventry on Saturday, November 11 with kick-off at 2.15pm at The Field.
