BOURTON and Frankton slipped to a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Jet Blades Reserves in the semi-finals of the Peter Toogood Cup.
Bourton missed out on the chance to reach a first cup final for several years as goals from Ryan Jones, Danny Taylor and Dean Ward settled the game at The Field.
Jet Blades took the lead early on before doubling their advantage midway through the first half as a Bourton shot at the other end came back off the crossbar.
And the visitors sealed the win just seconds after the interval with a goal on the counter attack as Bourton goalkeeper Rob Stipanovic made a couple of fine saves to prevent any further damage.
Elsewhere, the club’s under-15’s side lost 4-1 against Chapelfield Colts in Division C of the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League.
George Quick’s superb free-kick drew Bourton level after Chapelfield took an early lead before the visitors ran away with the contest in the second half with three unanswered goals.
