BOURTON and Frankton came from behind to win a remarkable game 6-4 against RS Sports Reserves with all 10 goals scored in the second half.

Daniel McManus and Rhys Davies both netted twice with Dale Coles and George Smith also on target in a 10-goal thriller at Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre.

The result means Bourton sit fifth in the Coventry Alliance Football League Division Three table, five points off the top with three games in hand.

After a goalless first half, McManus broke the deadlock early in the second period only for RS Sports to respond with three quickfire goals on the counter attack to leave Bourton stunned.

However, Bourton struck back through Davies only for RS Sports to restore their two-goal advantage with a fine free-kick with the visitors aggrieved with the decision to award the home side a set-piece on the edge of the penalty area.

Once again, Bourton cut the deficit when McManus grabbed his second of the game and were back level as Dale Coles netted after the ball broke kindly to him at a corner.

Bourton eventually completed the turnaround when George Smith slotted home and sealed the win when Davies scored his second of the game.

Elsewhere, the club’s under-14 side were involved in an equally exciting 5-4 win against Coventrians in the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League.

Bourton fell behind inside the first minute and trailed 2-1 at the break as Thomas Constable halved the deficit with what would prove to be a crucial goal from George Quick’s through ball.

And Bourton completed a sensational turnaround in the second period with two goals in the space of eight minutes as Constable completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

Coventrians equalised with a breakaway goal before Constable turned provider when he teed up Bilal Naushahi for a debut goal to restore Bourton’s lead.

And Constable netted his fourth of the game to seal the win after he rounded the goalkeeper and fired into the roof of the net before Coventrians scored a late consolation.

Bourton are next in action away at Balsall and Berkswell Hornets on Saturday, February 18 with kick-off at 2.15pm at The Triangle.
