RILEY Thompson scored a double hat-trick as Bourton and Frankton’s Youth team romped to a remarkable 12-2 victory against Lillington Juniors Colts.
Thompson’s six-goal haul along with four goals from Thomas Constable and further strikes from George Quick and Elliot McGlinchey secured a memorable win at The Field.
Victory marked a return to winning ways for Bourton’s under-15’s side in stunning fashion after a series of frustrating results in League C of the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Football League.
Constable and Thompson found the net three times in the space of five minutes to put Bourton in command as the pair reversed the scoring to increse the home side’s lead to four goals inside 20 minutes.
And Quick added to Bourton’s lead on the half-hour mark before Thompson completed his hat-trick shortly after and added a fourth goal five minutes before half time.
Constable also completed his treble before the break to hand Bourton a staggering eight-goal lead at the interval.
Thompson grabbed his fifth of the game shortly after half time before Constable scored his fourth to take Bourton into double figures on 66 minutes.
Lillington pulled two goals back to reduce the deficit only for McGlinchey and Thompson to strike and increase the gap to 10 goals as the latter completed a sensational double hat-trick.
The club’s first team return to action against RS Sports Reserves on Saturday, October 21 with kick-off at 2.15pm at The Field.
