DAVID Kolodynski’s second-half goal helped Rugby Town climb off the bottom of the table but not out of the relegation zone following a 1-1 draw with Bedworth United.

Kolodynski levelled the game on 71 minutes after Liam Murphy put Bedworth ahead shortly after half time at Butlin Road.

And the result means Valley sit 19th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, inside the relegation zone on goal difference with two matches left to play.

Rugby shaded the first half as Madundo Semahimbo forced Bedworth goalkeeper Liam O’Brien into a smart save.

Bedworth had chances of their own as Tomasz Bukowski parried Liam Murphy’s shot as the first half ended goalless.

However, Murphy broke the deadlock five minutes after the break when he ran through and finished past Bukowski although the same player missed two further chances to extend Bedworth’s lead.

Valley equalised on 71 minutes when Kolodynski found the net from close range after O’Brien spilled Chris Clements’s set-piece.

Rugby are next in action at home to Walsall Wood on Saturday, April 20 with kick-off at 3pm at Butlin Road.
