RUGBY Town scored three late goals to advance to the next round of the FA Cup following a 3-0 win against Wolverhampton Casuals.
Trey Charles struck twice in the final 10 minutes before Harrison Nee completed the scoring in injury time at Brinsford Lane.
Valley will play Stone Old Alleynians in the preliminary round on Saturday, August 17 at Butlin Road.
Midland Football League Premier Division side Wolverhampton spurned two gilt-edged chances to take the lead as Rhyce Brown and Tom Cottom both failed to find the net.
Rugby, who play one level higher than Wolverhampton, grew into the contest and began to take control as the game wore on.
And Valley eventually broke the deadlock on 82 minutes when debutant Charles finished substitute Ethan O’Toole’s low corner in the six-yard box.
Charles struck again seven minutes later when he fired a low effort across the goalkeeper and into the net from another O’Toole assist.
And Nee also scored his first goal for the club three minutes into injury time after driving into the box and finding the bottom corner after O’Toole won possession high up the pitch.
Rugby begin their league campaign against Darlaston Town on Saturday, August 10 with kick-off at 3pm at Butlin Road.
