BOURTON and Frankton Football Club will begin preparations for the start of the football season next week and are inviting new players to join them for the forthcoming 2022/23 campaign.
Based in the village of Bourton-on-Dunsmore, near Rugby, and with a history spanning over 100 years, Bourton and Frankton are one of the oldest and few remaining village football clubs in existence in the local area.
The club are once again playing in the Coventry Alliance Football League on Saturday afternoon’s next season.
And pre-season training will begin on Tuesday, July 5 at 7pm (meet for 6.45 pm) at the club’s home ground on Main Street, Bourton-on-Dunsmore.
As an FA Charter Status Club, the club continues to offer excellent facilities and is recognised as having one of the best pitches and playing surfaces in the region outside of non-league football.
In addition to changing facilities and showers, Bourton and Frankton’s training facilities have been further boosted in recent times with an upgrade to its floodlighting system.
As well as enjoying a thriving social scene, club training will be held every Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm (meet 6.45pm) throughout the course of the season.
Bourton and Frankton have an excellent track record over the years of developing and bringing through young talent.
The club are keen to hear from and welcome players aged 16 years and over, including those who are looking to make the transition from junior/youth football into Saturday adult/senior level, as well as adult players who are maybe considering and looking for a change of club.
In an exciting new development for the club, Bourton and Frankton will also be running an under-15 youth team next season that will play in the Northampton and District Youth Alliance League on Sunday’s during the 2022/23 season.
